Director's Profile
Puspa Thapa Magar, the son of Late Mohan Bahadur Magar is a renowned Chef in the Culinary Art Academy (Nepal) Pvt. Ltd. He was born in 2011 B.S. He is a peranent residence of Dhobighat-3, Lalitpur, Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitan City. He started his career from the kitchen and reached to the level of master chef in the culinary art. He completed his training in kitchen from Hotel Management & Tourism Training Center (HMTTC). After his training he envolved as industrial practical training in "Sankar Hotel" and then "Basic Hygience for Food Handler" from "Gulf Hotel" Bahrain in 1987.

He has many more experience inthe culinary profession and worked in Shankar Hotel(1972-1978), in Hotel Crystal(1979) and in Yak and Yeti Hotel(1979-1980). He opened his own ownership two restaurants, Kathmandu Kitchen Bar and Restaurant at Jamal, Kantipath, Kathmandu Nepal and The fire restaurant, in Patan, Lalitpur District, Nepal. After closing these two restaurants he joined in Sheraton Hotel New Baneshwor, Kathmandu Nepal as a comis I in the Gradmager Dept(1981-1983).

Apart from his National experience he has foreign experiences too. He joined in the "British Club" in Bahrain as a senior Chef D' Partie to the senior sous-chef(1983-1986). Then after he joined in the "Gulf Hotel" Bahrain as a chef D' partie(1986-1988), and then to "Muscat Holidary Inn" as a sous Chef(1988-1991). After returning from foreign country he joined inthe "Hotel Sherpa" as an executive Sous CHef(1990-1991) and promoted as an executive Chef (1999-tilldate).

He has been awarded many times for the best senice as a culinary profession. He has been awarded by "Gulf Hotel Bahrain" for best in the Ice Cream Competition (1988) and Awarded by Chefs Association of Nepal for the founder president of Chefs Association of Nepal and work in the culinary profession more than 25 years. He has received many more awards from his Majesty the King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah on the ocassion of Golden Jubliee Year of hs Majesty.

He has experience inthe master Chef and traineer of hte culinary profession.
